Its that time of the year- GRADUATIONS

My dear friend and shopping buddy (you should see her shoe closet, AMAZING!) just graduated last weekend with her degree in Food and Nutrition and so for the occasion I made her a batch of chocolate caramel pecan brownies. I know what you're thinking, IRONIC, well maybe, she did major in food and nutrition and well here I am making a dessert that broke all calorie meters. Did I mention that the brownies were oozing with chocolate and caramel. Wrong? Yes! but oh SO good.

Welcome baby Isabella "Izzy"

I had the privilege to host a baby shower for one of my beautiful bridesmaids this past March. The theme was Hello Kitty which matched all the beautiful bedding and pieces that Jess and Jeff registered for. Colors of hot pink, soft pink, lavender, and ivory ran through my house and the desserts. I had never felt like such a girly girl in such a long time, and I loved it, sshhhhh!!!! Cupcakes both large and small, Baileys chocolate truffles, mini creme brulee cheesecakes, chocolate cups with fresh fruit, sugar cookies with a "surprise" filling, and fresh homemade strawberry ice cream were the desserts of choice (writing this is making my mouth water). We also enjoyed a raspberry ginger ale and strawberry lemonade with fresh fruit in both, YUMMY!!!On May1st they welcomed a beautiful baby girl Isabella Lucia Boe. Congratulations!!!!!

Where it all began......

So when I found out that my sister-in-law was expecting I was ecstactic and knew that I had to go the extra mile to make her a fabulous cake for her baby shower. The theme was Winnie the Pooh and of course the cake had to match. I was thrilled how well it turned out, and despite the 90+ degree heat that day, well somewhat well. Pooh ended up winking by the time he was to be cut.
I also made chocolate beehive candies that were part of the favors, so cute and so yummy, will have to look for a photo of those, hmmm....... Anyways, I thought I would write my first blog as a look back to the first cake that began it all. Ahh, memories!
